Dessert First

May 12, 2010

“I didn’t understand the lack of control or whether I had any control over my self, over my body or over my health. I guess its pretty cliché to say that you learn to have dessert first. You learn not to sweat the little things when big traumatic things happen because you have perspective, and you realize that everything is relative.” – Laurel Borowick, my mother.

I love the fact that you shot this story, and so beautifully too. It really shows how much you’ve advanced your skills over these past couple years. Its odd for me to say this, but its almost like I’ve been there to watch you grow as a photojournalist and yet I will always be your little brother. But seriously awesome shoot.
